Apartment Review for Trends Capital, Llc Aka Jlb Investment Properties - Pittsburgh, PA

Pardon the title, but I believe it truly describes the situatuion here. I was a tenant in dormont (1401 Mervin) for 2 years. In this time, the office staff has been unresponsive - I have had raw sewage backing up in my kitchen sink a few times, water coming down in my bathroom from the unit above me once, been locked out of my building when the landlord changed the outside locks without notice once, called the health department twice about getting the heat turned on twice, and, my personal favorite - arrived home to find my lights on and my door unlocked (from folks showing the apartment to prospective tenants) twice now. That's not to mention the persistant trash outside (downwind from me, so I guess I'm lucky there), an incredibly loud neighbor (in all fairness, not really the fault of the landlord), and of course the array of utility shut-off notices on the door. Save yourself a lot of headache, and a waste of money - rent somewhere else. FWIW - 2 stars on parking - they never mentioned than handful of spaces in the lot attached to the building, so that was an unexpected bonus. Security is non-existent, as the doors are old and don't shut with out slamming them - that was actually really convienent when he changed the locks though - otherwise I would have been sleeping in my car on that one.
