Apartment Review for Premium Rentals - Pittsburgh, PA

Avoid this company and place at all cost. There are things written into the lease that are illegal...like showing the apartment on a walk-in basis (except they refused to give me a copy of the lease even when requested). I have informed them many times that I have spoken with the Fair Housing Authority that they must give prior notice to show the apartment, and every time I refue to let them show it without an appointment, they call my parents (illegal, they are not on the lease and I am over 18--harrassment) and threaten police breaking down the door and say they'll sue. They also insist you leave your heat on even if you go away, and they want you to pay $49 per person per month for water and sewer (which they don't tell you about until you're signing the lease). The place is overpriced and falling apart (they just keep painting over it). Electrical wiring is illegal, windows are not safety glass nor openable, cannot open my fire escape door, there is no 24-hr line to call for problems, just an answering machine that they claim is checked often. Also, they claim the washers and dryers are fixed but still I waste money using them because they don't work. Many more complaints, but I'm tired of writing about it...just don't even think about taking a place here...I took one because I was desparate for the location, but trust me, I would gladly have been somewhere else even if the location was not as convenient.
