Apartment Review for Nob Hill Greentree Apartments - Pittsburgh, PA

I lived in nob hill apartments for 2 years. my rent was paid early every month, I was a quiet, good tenant. I lived in the part of the building across from the garbage - horrible mistake. When looking at the apartment, I made clear to the woman showing it that I work very long hours, and was home often only to sleep - she said I would never hear a peep. Huge lie.

Garbage trucks would dump dumpsters outside my window for an hour, three days a week - very early in the morning. They would also leave the trucks run while they chatted with the maintenance people.

There were also loud thumping car stereos, people moving in and out, mail being delivered, as this was the central location for this type of activity.

As I stated earlier - I worked very long hours - I almost always had to park extremely far away from the location of my apartment, because when I would arrive home - all spots were occupied.

Maintenance entered my apartment without my consent, and often knowledge.

I did write several letters to management, which were replied to that they were very sorry and taking care of the problems - more lies.

I was told they would find me an apartment in another area of the building that wasn't as loud, and the same day they called me to look at a place, when I arrived - they told me they had a miscommunication between their staff and had already rented it out. The same day.

I eventually was forced to move out - since I never had one restful night living there - and since then they have been harrassing me saying that I didn't give the proper 60 day notice to move out - and want me to pay two months rent when I didn't live there.

Pretty nice that somehow - they couldn't find me another apartment in the whole complex - but yet it took them two months supposedly to rent mine out. Unreal. Avoid these people, they don't care about the tenants - they break their own lease - but expect you to follow it.

I love the new place I moved to, which I pay less rent for, is bigger, with a garage and balcony, and most importantly QUIET!

Trust me - I tried everything I could to work with these people - but they don't care about their tenants - or your problems. They will lie and mislead you to believe they are taking care of the problem - when they are doing nothing.
