The garage ceiling leaks badly. Salt and water filtering through old cracked powdering concrete forms a toxic slop that continually drips on to the paint of all the vehicles. The repairs made consisted of caulking cracks up on the outside deck and plastic tarps pinned up to the soaking wet ceiling inside. They leak and were not put over the entire ceiling where you drive out of your space. The kitchen cabinets are so old the laminate is cracked up on them. He has them painted over instead of replacing them. The bathrooms are the original dated formica sinks and old flooring from the sixties. The old fogged up windows are heavy aluminum and can barely be pushed open. The bare cement ceilings on the outside deck leak into the sliding glass door and drips onto each floor below. The outside parking is dangerous, seven cars were vandalized. There is little lighting and no security cameras anywhere. Signs are posted around the property to keep people from parking but he has no legal right to do so. He uses the answering service for the building maintenance to call if your car is towed. He has no city contract and no towing company posted. Barry Hall, the owner is a rude tyrant who issues impersonal letters or directives slid under the tenents doors on a regular basis. The halls are cleaned with caustic cleaners that make it difficult to breathe when you walk down them. You are not even allowed to decorate the drab steel doors on your apartment. Obviously the location and view keeps him in business, otherwise nobody would live here. There are no cold air returns in either of the bedrooms. Therefore you cannot close either door ever or the rooms are cold in the winter and hot in the summer. |
